Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Clinical Trials across Europe through innovative doctoral training.
EDICT, Advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Clinical Trials, is a Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network established to address a critical challenge in European healthcare research: too often, the people in these studies don't reflect the diversity of patients who will eventually use them. When trials exclude certain groups, treatments may not work as well or as safely for everyone.
EDICT's mission is to train a new generation of researchers with the expertise and practical skills to transform how clinical trials are designed and run. Through innovative research, partnerships across universities and industry, and engagement with policymakers, EDICT will help reduce health inequalities and strengthen public trust in clinical research.
